4 Weeks – Week 1

The first photo taken of Jemima and Nanaimo, along with Nanaimo’s adventures in my hair on the first day at home.

In the beginning

Jemima & Nanaimo
According to Kass: “Jemima and Nanaimo came to us through the sheer luck of my brother, John, whom found them starving on-site at Heinz Watties, Hornby. Their mother had been run over by a train (as strange as that sounds) and they had been living in a small box by the tracks, by themselves. When we got them, they were slow and hungry, very tired and very dirty, and though they had all the odds against them, they were persistent and wanted to live.
John had first spotted them when Jemima (the smaller, slinkier one of the two) chased him, meowing, whilst he was driving a forklift. Can you imagine that? A tiny kitten, chasing you on a forklift, meowing because she was hungry, she was scared and she wanted something and somebody. John being a cat lover, couldn’t and thankfully didn’t ignore them. Pictures were taken, txt messages were sent and that afternoon, Jemima and Nanaimo came to Pensacola for a new life with us.
And this is their story.”
